Last night, I attended a barbecue given by several cosplayers, and I had a blast! I got dressed up as Barret (Slightly ghetto since I had no Gattling arm) and took Ruthie with me (I figured that I needed to meet new people and so did she). I was invited by Morgan, who turned out to be B-Chan's Ohayocon roomate (I must remember that I have some things for him), and it was held at his house. I ended up meeting a bunch of people from Cosplay.Com, including the resident con mommy Venus (Who was the chef that day and is one of the most random people I've met). To start, we had to go to to the market shortly after I'd gotten there, and since my car wasn't blocked in, we piled into it. As soon as we got in, we noticed some wisps os smoke coming from under my seat....WE THOUGHT THE CAR WAS ON FIRE!! Turns out the smoke was hairspray. Someone triggered the can that my sister had left under the seat....Let's see, we got kicked out of Kroger for going through U-Scan with pretty much all the Mountain Dew they'd had. Apparently, we were holding up a line of all of THREE people... After we'd eaten (Best barbecue I'd had in a long time! ^_^), I found that I could go to ACen for less than $200! If my money comes, I'm gonna go! I must go to a con at some point this year, and since AZ would cost too much, I'd be more than willing to go! Back on topic, we later did the FF7 photoshoot. Four of us were in costume for this, and let's just say that there were some rather interesting shots of Sephiroth involving a pair of pruning shears and a yarmukle.

I'll have to say that I'm glad I went. I'm happy I got to meet new people and try something new. I'm really glad I talked to everyone about what I'd need to know for the con, and now, I'm looking forward to what's next!
